Tamasine I. Davies

Tamasine Davies has been with Soby Boyden Lenz since 1994, and is a partner
in the firm. She attended school in Edmonton, Alberta, and Duncan, B.C.,
before earning a B.A. from the University of Alberta in 1991. She attended
Dalhousie University from 1991 to 1994, earning her LL.B. Her work experience
includes legal research on Aboriginal Treaty Rights and Issues and facilitating
Confederacy and Chiefs’ conferences.
Tamasine has presented professional papers on Spousal Support, Child
Custody and Access for the Legal Education Society of Alberta. She has
also presented a paper at the Ninth World Conference of the International
Society of Family Law in Durban, South Africa, concerning the law and
same-sex couples. Tamasine has been an instructor with Alberta Bar Admission
Course through the Legal Education Society of Alberta, and has reviewed
and updated family law material for same. She is an active community volunteer
in addition to her work at Soby Boyden Lenz.
Tamasine has experience litigating in all levels of court in Alberta;
the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal.
She also has extensive experience in the areas of support, division of
property, parenting plans, cohabitation contracts, pre-marriage contracts,
separation contracts and adoptions.
