Sandra Hudson

Sandra Hudson was born and raised in Germany where she attended Ruhr University in Bochum. After three semesters, Sandra went to Tegucigalpa, Honduras to perform volunteer work before moving to Minnesota, USA in 1992. She earned her B.A. (cum laude) in Spanish and International Studies from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota and her law degree (J.D.) from Hamline University in St. Paul, before immigrating to Canada in 1998.

Sandra commenced her articles with Hansen & Company where she gained experience in immigration law. She completed her articles with Castle & Associates, practicing almost exclusively in the area of family law since being called to the Alberta Bar in 2002. She joined the firm of Soby Boyden Lenz as an associate in 2008.

Sanda has training in negotiation and mediation and believes in attempting to resolve family law disputes in a non-adversarial manner, particularly when children are involved. While advocating an approach which aims to minimize conflict, Sandra recognizes that in some cases litigation is the more realistic and advisable route. As such, Sandra has argued successfully in the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal.

Sandra is fluent in English, German and Spanish.

In her spare time, Sandra enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, as well as traveling, skiing and photography.
