Ashley Christie attended the University of Calgary where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in 2005. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Laws in 2008 at the University of Alberta. During her studies at the University of Alberta, Ashley gained litigation and corporate law experience working as a student for Alberta Justice in the Energy and Family Law groups. Upon graduation, she articled with the firm of Parlee McLaws LLP and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2009. She maintained a general litigation practice with a focus in the areas of insurance defence and wills and estates litigation. Ashley’s interest in family law brought her to Soby Boyden Lenz in April 2010.
Ashley’s goal is to provide the advice necessary to assist clients in resolving their dispute in a timely and cost-effective manner while avoiding unnecessary conflict. She has appeared on matters before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen’s Bench.
Ashley has a wide variety of hobbies and interests, but particularly enjoys travelling, skiing, yoga and running.
